Our Commitment
At Stony Brook University, we believe Dining Services plays an important role on fostering a sense of community and are honored to provide food services while you acquire a top notch education. We strive to exceed expectations by tailoring programs, services and dining venues to meet the needs of the students and the entire Stony Brook University community. Campus Dining Services strives to create a home away from home experience by providing the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Fresh. Campus Dining Services believes fresh products made on site provides quality and consistency to our customers and is utilized wherever possible. An on-site commissary is located in Kelly Dining Center, providing the entire campus with fresh baked bakery items and breads.
Local. Campus Dining Services uses Long Island based produce and food distributors whenever possible, providing the freshest and most sustainable meal options. We promote sustainable initiatives and programming to support the global priorities of Stony Brook University.
Guest Focused. Campus Dining Services programs and services reflect the diversity and spirit of Stony Brook University. Customer Service training is conducted regularly in an effort to help build the sense of community amongst our employees, managers and the entire Campus Dining Services team. Creating a strong sense of community, enhances employees attitudes and customer interaction, bringing a higher level of customer service to the community.
As an educational partner, Campus Dining Services helps students manage their declining balance through a "Stay On Budget," program teaching them about budgeting their money and providing guidelines to stay on budget with their meal plan declining balance.
As an intricate partner to Stony Brook University, catering proceeds are given back to the University to support further educational development and programming on campus.
